CUT-A-DOR 1.2.1 — MIDI CONNECTIONS

Press GLO for SETUP, then GLO again to open MIDI SYNC. Four knobs show SOURCE, USB OUT, IN CH, BPM.
SOURCE = INT (internal), USB (USB MIDI input), JACK (TRS MIDI input).
USB OUT defaults OFF. Turn it ON with internal tempo to send 24 PPQN Clock,
Start, Stop and Continue. It sends no notes. Clock runs while stopped, with
transport messages telling the other device when to play. Follow mode never
forwards clock, avoiding clock loops. Only the selected source can start/stop
or clock the sequencer. In CH selects ANY, 1..16 or CLOCK (ignore notes/CC).

MIDI Start returns to the beginning; Continue preserves song position, part,
section and recorded automation position. On the MIDI page, PLAY resumes a
stopped beat. HOME then PLAY starts over. Receiving no clock for two seconds
stops a follower. USB output congestion stops transport, clears stale clocks,
queues Stop, disables USB OUT and shows an overflow notice. Fix the USB host
connection, then enable output again. A disconnected device cannot receive Stop.

USB topology: FM-1 is a USB device, not a USB host. Connect it to a computer,
a USB MIDI host/router or another instrument with documented USB host support.
Route its clock to the follower. Two FM-1s cannot connect through a plain USB
cable. The physical MIDI jack is input-only; no jack Clock OUT is claimed.
Use the correct MIDI adapter/cable wiring for the FM-1 and your source device.

Notes 36..51: drum pads or break slices in BREAK mode. Velocity 1..127.
CC20..27: hold the eight FX when >=64, release below64.
CC120/123: immediately silence voices and clear FX; clock transport continues.
No note sequencer output, MIDI Song Position Pointer or Bluetooth MIDI.

Software validation: Continue/Start/Stop and clock-loss cases; USB/TRS source
isolation; channel filtering; 40,000 jittered edges with exact song position;
24 PPQN output at40..220 BPM; timestamp/queue wrap, bounded overflow and fail-stop.
Output is timestamped relative to the rendered audio half-buffer. These tests
cannot measure the physical FM-1 USB scheduling jitter, CPU margin or jack timing.
Required bench test: one master + one follower, starts/resumes, tempo sweeps,
USB disconnect/reconnect, loaded 16-voice FX performance, long run, bank transfer
while stopped, and saving/restarting MIDI settings. No device has been flashed.
