CUT-A-DOR 1.2.1 — THE FIRST ROUND
By Kid Bunka. For M-VAVE FM-1. Identity FM-1_7010201.

BROWSER
Open the live editor. Press START BEAT; choose a style and drum kit. NEW makes a
fresh pocket; MUTATE changes a few hits. Click the two-bar grid to edit steps.
Select a step and set velocity/nudge. Mix each drum lane and the Master level.
DJ pads hold eight effects; REC records FX moves, not microphone audio. Stop or
let the chosen 1/2/4/8-bar take finish; overdub at the next loop boundary.
SAVE PROJECT writes a .cadp; OPEN PROJECT restores it. Save any .cadb banks too.
WAV BOUNCE renders the current part and FX tape at 44.1 kHz / 16-bit mono.

SOUND CRATE
Audition factory hits, assign pads, load one of three expansion kits, or import
PCM WAV files. Trim and categorise hits. Banks hold up to 16 sounds in 80 KiB.
SAVE BANK exports .cadb. LOAD INTO DOJO loads the selected browser bank slot.
Use desktop Chrome/Edge for USB MIDI. FIND PORTS, select the FM-1 input/output,
CONNECT, then acknowledge replacement before SEND BANK. Keep the original .cadb.
GET DEVICE PROJECT exports the stopped FM-1 project. Browser pattern edits stay
local; the release editor does not upload projects or remotely edit hardware steps.
DISCONNECT before opening the firmware installer. No automatic USB access/writes.

INSTALL
Download Recovery Kit and back up personal projects. Connect only one FM-1 with
a USB data cable. Begin from Original V15. In Install: DETECT, select Cut-A-Dor,
acknowledge preparation, INSTALL. Keep power/USB connected until identity confirms.
Expected identity FM-1_7010201. Start at low listening volume, then check controls.

RECOVERY
Read RECOVERY.txt. Original V15 is the normal return path. Resume an interrupted
update with its exact same package. There is no automatic rollback slot. The
separate chip rescue route requires its own tools; do not interrupt power as a test.
